A federal judge has ordered the U.S. State Department to conduct a more thorough review of the Keystone XL pipeline's proposed pathway after Nebraska state regulators changed the route, raising the possibility of further delays to a project first proposed in 2008.

WASHINGTON: Colorado, Virginia, and Arizona lead the country in vacation days used, according to new research from Project: Time Off, while residents of Montana, Delaware, and Rhode Island are at the bottom of the pack. Last year, Americans used 17.2 vacation days, the most since 2010.
Woman sues surgeon who wrongly removed her kidney

The lawsuit filed by Dena Knapp says Dr. Scott Baker erroneously removed her healthy right kidney instead of removing an adrenal gland and a mass on the gland during surgery in October 2016. The Argus Leader says the complaint filed in federal court also names The Surgical Institute of South Dakota, where Baker is partner.

Nine states have laws banning abortion that would become effective if Roe V. Wade is overturned, and four states have laws intended to ban abortion should the U.S. Supreme Court overturn the legal right to abort. Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Wisconsin have laws that were passed prior to Roe V. Wade, according to The Guttmacher Institute .
Sturgis Rally Attendance Up

The South Dakota Department of Transportation's tally of traffic at this year's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally shows a nearly 8 percent increase over last year. Sturgis City Manager Daniel Ainslie tells the Rapid City Journal that the number of vehicles attending last year's rally started strong, but fell off as the event progressed.
